Beclomethasone

An inhaled steroid (cortisone) used in the treatment of severe and chronic asthma. The main use of beclometbasene is treating patients with chronic severe asthma who would otherwise have to be treated using oral cortisone. Its advantages are that it causes fewer steroid-induced side effects and can be given in relatively small doses.
